Caye Caulker Marine Reserve
Abundant Marine Life at Caye Caulker Marine Reserve
A Truly Natural Marine Environment
Caye Caulker Marine Reserve is the closest dive location to Caye Caulker, Belize. Just 15 minutes from Belize Diving Services, this is a marine protected area that offers a good example of what a truly natural dive site is, unspoiled by feeding to bring in the fish. This area features a beautiful, healthy reef with copious amounts of live corals and juvenile fishes. Plus, there have been some remarkable encounters with hammerhead, turtles, and other shy species. This is a great place to enjoy a short dive day with more time in the water and less time on the boat.
Diving and Snorkeling in Caye Caulker Marine Reserve, Belize
Some of the most popular dive sites in The Caye Caulker Marine Reserve include Coral Gardens, Swimming Pool, Frank’s Crack and Rock Beauty. Plus there are many more areas to explore! When we can, Belize Diving Services also swings into Shark Ray Alley to hang with nurse sharks and stingrays during our surface interval!
Great Blue Hole, Turneffe Atoll and Caye Caulker Marine Reserve
Fantastic diving with the team from BDS. Perfectly organised. We had 7 dives in total over 3 days with The Great Blue Hole ticked off the bucket list and a superb dive with numerous reef sharks at Turneffe. All of the dives were excellent and the guides calm, attentive and observant. The reefs are in great condition and offer some world-class marine life. We even snorkeled with nurse sharks and stingrays on a safety stop! Onboard food was excellent too. Thanks BDS!
